TONY CHINNERY HARPSICHORDS

Italian chamber organ

Italian chamber organ

This Italian style chamber organ was designed and voiced by the organ maker Riccardo Lorrenzini. It is based on an original in Osimo in the Marches. It has a ripieno of open metal pipes 8'+4'+2' with a powerful full sound in the Italian style. Unlike the original instrument, we have included a 8' bordone to give the possibility of a softer sound, useful for accompanying solo voices or small ensembles. It can be pumped manually or with an eletric ventilator. it has a 4 octave range C-d'' with a transposing keyboard. The pipe sleeves permit a wide variety of tunings from equal temperamenr to mean tone.

registers: 8'+4'principali
